web design
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to create dynamic websites and features for various organizations. Each of my projects contain a brief summary of my design process and initial approach to finding solutions for my clients online presence.
creative hive group
Creative Hive Group built upon my previous experience with my own portfolio site and gave me an opportunity to uplift other creatives. The site’s main audience will be various campus organizations and off-campus businesses requesting visual design work.
While still aligning with university branding guidelines, I pushed to emphasize the creative, yet professional, level of work that has already been accomplished by CHG content creators by means of functional individual portfolio layouts. Furthermore, the flow of provided links offers a concise roadmap for future collaborators to get in contact. This project gives students at Boise State University the opportunity to showcase tangible work created beyond the classroom and at a hyper-local level.
College of Southern Idaho
The design approach for the list items focused on describing possible experiences of students in a simple manner that would then lead them to their desired plan of action.
The links are broken up by dividers in order to designate each category.
The feature was designed to be responsive despite the number of links included, although 3-6 are recommended to avoid the navigation being too content-heavy.
The black background color was chosen in order to progressively integrate the newly introduced black accent color scheme into the website.
The images below display the CSI homepage and the tertiary navigation (the black bar located at the bottom of each).
A large responsibility of my position within College of Southern Idaho’s Student Senate is maintaining transparency through the digitalization of information on our organization’s webpage. Being a web content developer allowed me to analyze the value of content hierarchy and what information deserves main priority on site navigation.
Website Rebranding
Obnova is an upcoming social media management and marketing company based in San Marcos, California that needed a modern website redesign. The client requested for the logo and website to follow an aquatic theme with a welcoming color scheme.
The overall design involved upholding a professional atmosphere while maintaining a creative presence, hence my use of the geometric aquatic tiles.
The primary shade of a lighter blue with the secondary pop of orange allowed for consistent branding throughout the website.
The foundation of the design’s font family was sans serif in order to preserve a personable and inviting dialogue to clients.
